In this summative project, first graders demonstrate their growth as young artist by creating vibrant rainbow landscapes. Students applied their skills they developed throughout the year, including drawing symmetrical butterflies, rainbows, and flowers, while thoughtfully composing their scenes. A key focus of this unit was propper watercolor technique, and students proudly showcased their ability to keep their palettes clean while blending colors beautifully.
