After reading Boogie in the Bronx by Jackie Azur Kramer, students were inspired to celebrate the rhythm and creativity of the Bronx through art. They designed vibrant mixed media guitars using cardstock, pom-poms, yarn, and markers, exploring color, texture, and self-expression. This project connected literacy and visual art, encouraging students to respond to storytelling through imaginative, hands-on making.
